DGT Official FIDE set Weighted

DGT Official FIDE weighted chess pieces for electronic boards are the official FIDE set for DGT electronic chessboards, combining the classic Staunton look with added weight and spare queens.

The pieces measure 3.75" and are suitable for all DGT electronic boards, including the DGT USB electronic chessboard in walnut and maple. They were first used at the 2013 World Championship in Chennai, where Magnus Carlsen defeated Vishwanathan Anand and became World Champion.

Official FIDE design

Designed by Daniel Weil of Pentagram, the set brings together traditional and modern influences. Its shape is based on the proportions of classical Greek architecture and the enduring Staunton style.

The white pieces are made from boxwood, while the black pieces are made from ebony. Additional queens are included.
