The board opens to 49 × 49 cm, giving the pieces plenty of room on the board, while the traditional, slimmer piece shape reflects the style of classic Polish chess sets. The king stands 110 mm high, so the set has a clear, substantial presence without losing its familiar chessboard feel.
The chess pieces are made from hornbeam wood, and the chessboard is made from beech and birch wood. The board folds away after play, and the internal insert tray keeps the pieces stored neatly between games.
