Chess board no. 4+ (with description) paduk/ maple (marquetry) - round corners

This No. 4+ chessboard combines notation, round corners and padauk-and-maple marquetry in a tournament-style wooden board made for comfortable play with No. 4 and No. 5 pieces.

Its 440 × 440 mm format and 45 mm squares suit everyday games as well as a more formal setup. The notation around the edges makes it easier to record moves, analyse games and learn, which is especially useful at home, in a club or at school.

Finish and piece fit

The board is made from padauk, maple and birch wood. The dark padauk areas and edging contrast clearly with the light maple, helping the pieces stand out on the board. It is suitable for smaller and medium-sized chess pieces, especially models around 3.00"–3.50" in height, including No. 4 and No. 5 Staunton pieces.

There are 4 pads on the underside to improve stability and help protect the table when the board is moved.
