This No. 5 chess set combines a black inlaid board with matching French Lardy pieces, and its size and appearance are specified to meet FIDE requirements.
Set contents and finish
The set includes a black-stained, ebonised inlaid chessboard with 50 × 50 mm squares, together with French Lardy chess pieces in 3.5-inch size. The piece set contains 34 chess pieces, including two additional queens.
The pieces are made from boxwood and are weighted. The board is supplied in an individual cardboard package with a cut-out window and chess print, designed to help protect it from scratches and dirt.
