This small Olympic inlaid chess set is a compact wooden folding set with built-in storage, combining a decorative intarsia finish with a practical case for the pieces.
The folding board is made from beech, birch, mahogany and sycamore wood and finished in brown with an inlaid pattern. When closed, it becomes a storage case with a felt-lined insert that helps keep the pieces in place. That makes it a neat option for home play, travel or as a gift.
The handmade wooden chess pieces are made from hornbeam and beech wood. The king stands 65 mm high, and the 35 mm squares suit the set’s small format without taking up much space.
