STAUNTON DE LUX No5 Insert (in wooden box)

Staunton No. 5 Lux chess pieces in a wooden case are a classic Staunton set supplied with a fitted storage case, so you can play comfortably at home and put everything away neatly afterwards. The familiar tournament-style pieces sit in their own places in the case, which helps keep the set organised.

The pieces are made from hornbeam wood and finished with a lightly rustic look. They are weighted and felt-padded on the base, so they sit securely on the board and move smoothly during play. The king stands 90 mm high, making the set suitable for chessboards No. 5 and 4+.

Storage case

The set includes a wooden case with a fitted insert for the individual pieces. It is a practical way to keep the set tidy at home or take it with you when travelling. Standard cases are stained and available in brown or black, while Staunton Lux models may also use green or red inserts.
