Capablanca stupol chess with additional Archbishop and Chancellor pieces.
Capablanca chess (or Capablanca chess) is a chess variant invented in the 1920s by world chess champion José Raúl Capablanca. It contains two new pieces and is played on a board of 10×8 or 10x10 squares (variant on offer).
Capablanca believed that in a few decades all games between grandmasters would end in draws, which was the main motivation for creating a more complex version of this game. In order to make the game more interesting, Capablanca changed the design of the board and introduced two new pieces into the game:
- The archmage moves like a gon and a jumper.
- The chancellor moves like a tower and a jumper.
The new pieces allow the new creation of new strategies and possibilities that change the game of chess by 180 degrees.
