This DGT Echo is an audio chess clock based on the FIDE-approved DGT 3000, designed for blind and visually impaired players who need spoken time readings and access to official tournament play.
It offers 25 time settings plus custom settings, and it can be connected to a DGT electronic chessboard. Audio mode is available not only during play, but also while setting the clock up.
The clock comes with two headsets, one for each player, so both sides can check their own time and their opponent’s at any point. Time is announced in English by an electronic voice.
Its yellow and black high-contrast finish is intended to make the display easier to see for visually impaired players.
