This DGT Pegasus electronic chess set lets you play online with physical pieces on a real board, while your opponent’s moves appear as pulsing LED circles instead of on a monitor.
Install the free DGT Chess app to connect your smartphone or tablet, then play on major platforms such as Chess.com, Lichess and Chess24. Once you are matched with an opponent, you can set your phone aside and concentrate on the board.
The set is designed for screen-free play, so you do not need to keep a computer or monitor in front of you during the game. Before first use, it must be calibrated; you can follow this calibration video for guidance.
Note: Chess.com also has its own app that works with Pegasus. It is available on Android mobile devices, but not yet on iOS.
