The DGT SMART electronic chess set with Timeless wooden chess pieces combines a SMART board, wooden electronic pieces and a connecting cable set in one package, giving you a practical way to play, record and broadcast games digitally.

SMART technology was developed to make electronic chess boards more affordable while keeping the core functionality needed for live chess coverage and wider online use.

The set includes the DGT SMART BOARD with notation, a set of wooden electronic DGT pieces, a cabling set for individual use, and Fritz 14.

For online play, recording and analysis

You can use the board as an input device for online chess, including play on Playchess.com. When connected to a DGT3000 chess clock, your moves and your opponent’s replies are shown on the clock display.

The board also supports game recording for later download and analysis, and it works with strong chess software on desktop or laptop computers for training, analysis and study. If you want to expand the setup, you can add the DGT PI chess computer.

Built for club and tournament use

The DGT SMART BOARD is made from high-quality plastic and is designed for use at home, in a club or at a tournament. It is compatible with tournament setups using DGT wooden boards, and it also works with all DGT electronic piece sets, both wooden and plastic.

For live internet broadcasting, the board works with the free LiveChess software and cloud service, which lets you stream games and tournaments through your website.
