This No. 4+ chessboard without notation, mahogany and sycamore inlay is a wooden chessboard with a classic inlaid finish, made for standard play with small and medium-sized pieces. Its clean, notation-free layout and 44 × 44 cm format make it a practical choice for home games, club play and training.
The squares measure 45 mm, so the board works well with pieces in the approximate 3.00"–3.50" range. It is also compatible with Staunton No. 4 and Staunton No. 5 pieces, which makes it easy to match with popular tournament-style sets.
Four pads on the underside help keep the board steady and also protect the surface underneath from scratches. That makes it comfortable to use on a hard, level table or desk during longer games.
