This Supreme set follows the English Staunton tradition, but with a more decorative finish. The king and queen have carefully worked crowns, while the knight stands out for its carved mane, clear profile and more dynamic shape. That makes the set suitable not only for regular play, but also as a gift for a chess player or as a striking match for a wooden chessboard.

The pieces are double weighted, which helps them sit more securely on the board and gives them a steadier feel during play. The polished surface also brings out the wood grain and supports everyday use.

Materials and use

The light pieces are made from boxwood, while the dark pieces are also made from boxwood with an ebonised finish. This creates the dark, ebony-like appearance without using solid ebony.
